AMD CEO says Windows 10 will launch ‘in late July’ – [Tech Today Bro]
According to processor maker AMD, Microsoft plans to launch Windows 10 by the end of July 2015. Lisa Su, president and CEO of Advanced Micro Devices, announced the release date of Microsoft's upcoming operating system during the company's recent quarterly earnings call last week.
During the quarterly earnings call, Su noted, "[…]with the launch of Windows 10 in late July, we are monitoring the impact on the back-to-school season and expect there may be a slight delay in the normal back-to-school inventory build."
While AMD's Windows 10 release date is likely accurate, the information should come as no surprise, as Microsoft has already announced that Windows 10 will ship in 190 countries and 111 languages this summer. What we haven't had until now, however, is a more specific release date.
