What you may not know is that a group of people from Germany were responsible for designing the new boxes. For these artworks, Microsoft commissioned CATK (COLORS AND THE KIDS) to create the colorful and unique shapes that resemble the new Windows 8 user interface that is now seen by millions of people around the world.

To capture the essence of the new "reimagined" operating system, CATK has provided many drawings illustrating the new product. Not every image made it into the final project, but many people will agree that all of them should be available. Although this is not the case, at least today you can see the early concepts and the final images for the Windows 8 DVD boxes in the gallery below:
