Windows 11: Upgrade from Windows 10 via Windows Update (official)

Microsoft surprised Windows 10 users with another cumulative update on August 14, just three days after the last update. The new update is described as KB3081438 and is the third cumulative update the company has released since its launch.

The KB3081438 update is currently being rolled out to users and, according to the company, contains "improvements to extend the functionality of Windows 10," which also means that it fixes a number of undisclosed bugs and does not contain any new features.

In addition, the company warns: "If you install a language pack after you install this security update, you must install this security update again. Therefore, we recommend that you install all the language packs that you need before you install this security update. For more information, see Add language packs to Windows."
