Windows developments: Advanced updates for Windows 10, Arm CPU support and AI integration
According to new documentation, a desktop version of Windows 10 on ARM chips could be in the works. As you may recall, a few years ago Microsoft unveiled its Windows RT operating system, which was designed to run on ARM-based devices with support for Windows Store apps.
However, the operating system was never really adopted by customers, forcing the company to stop development. This was partly due to a lack of communication from Microsoft, as many customers believed that Windows RT included support for desktop applications, when in fact it only supported modern apps from the Store.
Now, it seems that the software giant is working on a desktop version of Windows 10 with support for ARM processors. According to documentation on the Windows Hardware website, the company clearly lists a version of the Windows 10 desktop with ARM support.
