Windows 10 Build 14942: Hands-on experience with Start menu, Settings, Registry and more
Microsoft has reportedly started developing the next major Windows 10 update, known internally as "Redstone." Meanwhile, the software titan is close to finalizing and rolling out the Windows 10 "Threshold 2" update later this year to bring much-needed improvements and features to the operating system. However, that isn't stopping the company from starting work on the next major update for Windows.
Redstone will be the second major update for Windows 10, and it will be a more significant update than Threshold 2. While we don't yet know exactly what changes it will include, it will bring major changes, improvements, and a new set of features to the operating system across platforms.
Previous rumors suggest that Redstone will focus on improving support for new hardware such as the Microsoft Band, HoloLens, Xbox, Surface Hub, and various other Microsoft products that run the new operating system.
