Firefox receives a bug-fixing update with version 128.0.2

The function of silent updates is to make the work completely effortless for the end user by performing all the tasks in the background. With this new feature, users using Windows will no longer be bothered by the Windows User Account Control (UAC) to install software updates.

Windows User Account Control was designed as a layer of security and to warn the user when a new program tries to make changes. So you can imagine that most web browsers these days have a rapid release cycle, which can make it a bit annoying to frequently be alerted to a new update ready to install. All of this is "fixed" with Firefox 12 – the open source browser installs a service that runs in the background, and once you give it permission, it updates future versions as soon as they're available to download.

This new update doesn't have much to offer, but it's something that will make your web experience a little better and less annoying.
