If you're a Firefox user, you may have heard that the official release of version 6 will be on August 16th, but apparently Firefox 6 final made it to Mozilla's FTP servers last night and is already available for download for Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems.

In this new version, you won't notice any changes to the user interface, but you will notice that it runs up to 20% faster.

Please note that when you download this version of Firefox from the FTP servers today, the welcome page will still describe it as beta version 6.0. This may not change until the official release date.

If you want to make sure you're using the final version, click the orange Firefox button, navigate to Help, and click About Firefox. You'll see that it now says "You are currently in the Release Update Channel" instead of "You are currently in the Release Beta Update Channel."
