Microsoft has made the latest release preview of Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 available for download. According to the company, the new features bring speed improvements of up to 30% compared to other web browsers. They offer more support for the latest web standards and include the new developer tools (F12) that you already find in the IE version for Windows 8.1.

Faster than ever. The new browser version makes websites load faster. One of the reasons for this is that the graphics processor is used to render graphics instead of the main CPU. Microsoft said that this feature alone makes IE 11 for Windows 7 6x faster than Google Chrome and 9% faster than Internet Explorer 10.
Browsing gets even better with support for more web standards. IE 11 includes a version of new unprefixed pointer events. Basically, this means websites will work well on virtually any device with a keyboard, mouse, pen, and touch displays. Additionally, Microsoft now prompts users to set the Tracking Preference Expression (DNT) after installation, rather than leaving the setting enabled by default. And the browser also adds options for the Standard Delivery Profile for closed captions, allowing users to configure how video captions are displayed when videos play.
