Windows 11: Enable dark mode on desktop and apps
In Windows 11, you can enable "Dark Mode" from the "Personalization" settings. In this color mode, the items on the desktop, such as the taskbar, Start menu and other menus, File Explorer, and other supported apps (such as Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome), also switch to a dark color scheme with white fonts. If you choose the default dark theme, you will also see a dark version of the default wallpaper.
However, dark mode only affects the Windows 11 desktop and certain apps. If you want to use your web browser and other apps like Office, you'll need to manually enable the dark color scheme for those applications.
This guide shows you how to quickly change the color mode of Windows 11 and apps.
