Windows 11 (NEW feature): Access Android phone files wirelessly via File Explorer

Microsoft is working on integrating fingerprint scanner support into Windows 10 Mobile, and users will see the feature this summer. The mobile version of the operating system already includes biometric authentication via facial recognition with Windows Hello, but the use of fingerprints is a feature that is not currently available.

However, this week at the WinHEC conference, the company revealed its plans to add support for fingerprint scanners, which will be available with the Anniversary Update for Windows 10 Mobile.

Microsoft says some partners are already testing the new technology, but the company is now revealing the exact number of phones that will support fingerprint scanners with Windows 10 Mobile. What we do know, however, is that HP's Elite x3 will be one of the first handsets to offer this new biometric authentication added to Windows Hello.
