Windows 10 Build 16226: Hands-on experience with Fluent Design, Shell, Microsoft Edge, Settings
In July, Microsoft released Windows 10 for PC and tablet. A lot has happened since then, the first major update has been rolled out to everyone and it seems as if the company is already working hard on the next major update.
On December 16, the company once again released a new build for desktops and tablets, Windows 10 Build 11082, the first part of the next major update for Windows 10. This update is generally known by the code name "Redstone" and although there is no confirmed release date for it yet, insiders can now take a first look at it. At least theoretically, the build number indicates the start of Redstone, but not much of it is visible yet. The focus of this build was to give the operating system more stability and fix some bugs.
Not everything that will be included in Redstone has been revealed yet, but one thing is for sure: Microsoft Edge will support extensions once the update is released to the public. Although the latest build doesn't include any new features at all, if you look closely, you can see early traces of Redstone.
