How to update Google Chrome – Are you using the latest version?
If you're already using Google Chrome 11 Beta, you've already seen most of the new features. One of the biggest improvements in the new version is Speech to HTML, which lets you translate speech to text directly from the web browser. This option is now enabled by default and of course also brings many security and bug fixes.
Want to try out the speech recognition feature? First, you need to install the Speechify extension from the Chrome Web Store. Then you can experiment with this HTML5 demo presentation that Google has provided to test the text recognition engine. You can also try using speech recognition with Google Translate by clicking the microphone in the bottom right of the input field, speaking your text, selecting a language and clicking "Translate".
Additionally, Google has set a new record of $16,500 in rewards for patches in the latest build. Check out the list of rewards for each patch.
