Microsoft 365 is now easier on ChromeOS
Google is preparing to further integrate Microsoft 365 products into ChromeOS for Chromebooks. According to the announcement, users with a Microsoft 365 subscription can already use products like the Office apps and OneDrive by installing the available Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), but a new integration is coming later in the year that will make it easier for users to install apps and access their files.
The update introduces a new wizard that walks users through the step-by-step process of installing the Microsoft 365 web apps. Additionally, Google plans to update the Files app for ChromeOS to give users easy access to their OneDrive files.
When you open a file with an available Microsoft 365 app (such as Word, Excel, or PowerPoint), the file is automatically moved to OneDrive.
