Windows 11: Remove Gallery from File Explorer (check for updates)
UPDATED 03/07/2024: File Explorer allows you to add and remove folder locations from the Gallery view. In this guide, I'll explain how to do this configuration. Windows 11 includes an updated version of File Explorer that includes a new Gallery view to display images identically to the view available in the Photos app, preview images with larger thumbnails, hide the file name, and use chronological sorting.
The new view is optimized to show your most recent pictures. If you already have OneDrive Camera Roll backup set up on your phone, the photos will automatically appear in the gallery. But you can always customize the view to set the folder locations you want to show in this view, just like in the Photos app.
