How to add Recycle Bin to File Explorer Windows 11

In Windows 11, you can add access to the Recycle Bin in the left navigation pane or on the This PC page in File Explorer. In this guide, I will show you the steps to complete this configuration.

The Recycle Bin is accessible through File Explorer and is not a separate application, so it's odd that File Manager doesn't have its own option to access this feature. I usually type "Recycle Bin" in the address bar or use the icon in the Start menu or on the desktop, but that can add a few extra steps to the process.

If, like me, you prefer more direct access to the Recycle Bin, you can modify the Registry to add entries to the navigation pane and the This PC page. Alternatively, if you don't want to modify the Registry, right-click the Recycle Bin icon on the desktop and select the "Pin to Quick Access" option. This option creates an entry on the File Explorer home page in the Quick Access section.
