How to always run PowerShell as administrator by default
If you normally run PowerShell commands as an administrator on Windows 11 or Windows 10, you can now save a few steps by enabling the option to always run the command-line tool as administrator via the Windows Terminal.
The auto-increase option is available in Windows Terminal version 1.13 and later. To check the Terminal version, use the wt -v command. If you need to upgrade the app, use the winget upgrade –id Microsoft.WindowsTerminal.Preview command. If you don't have the app, use the winget install –id Microsoft.WindowsTerminal.Preview command to install it.
This guide will show you how to always run PowerShell with elevated privileges when starting the Windows Terminal.
