Batch rename files in Windows with PowerRename (PowerToys)

Although Windows 10 already lets you rename multiple files at once, it's not an intuitive experience and using Command Prompt and PowerShell commands is user-friendly for most people. However, the PowerToys app for Windows 10 now includes an option that makes it easier for anyone to batch rename many files using PowerRename.

PowerRename is an option that appears in the context menu for advanced bulk renaming using simple search and replace or regular expressions. As you type in the search and replace input fields, the feature shows you a preview of the items you want to rename. In addition, you can delete any individual item to include or exclude it from the operation in the preview pane.

If you're not familiar with it, back in the Windows 95 era, PowerToys was a useful tool that allowed you to further customize your experience, and now it's back to enhance the Windows 10 experience.
