Change Office 365 theme color
If you have a Microsoft 365 or Office 2021, 2019 or 2016 subscription, you can customize the experience at any time by changing the color theme. In this guide, I'll show you how to complete this configuration.
The settings available depend on the version of the apps and the version of Windows installed on your computer. For example, if you're using the Microsoft 365 apps (formerly Office) on Windows 11, you'll notice the new modern design by default with the mica material that makes the system background colors shine through the application. However, if you're using Windows 10 with a supported version of the Office apps, you'll have the old design style.
Regardless of the version of the app, however, you can change the color theme to make the experience a little more personal. For example, you can choose the dark color scheme or set the style to match the system color mode. Or you can restore the signature color of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other apps on Windows 11.
