How do I turn off X/Twitter dark mode? Website version
On X (formerly Twitter), dark color mode is the default theme, but you can change it to light mode, although the option has been removed from the main page. You just need to know where to find the settings.
Since the change of ownership, the social media platform has undergone many changes, including the renaming of "Twitter" to "X". Many features have been removed and many others have been implemented. I will not go into the internal company changes in detail here.
One of those changes was the removal of "light mode" as the default theme. Although it's been a while since the announcement, when using the platform on Chrome or Edge on my main Windows 11 computer, light mode didn't change. However, when I recently logged in from another device, I noticed that the default theme was "dark mode." I couldn't find the option to change modes on the main page until I asked around and found out that the option was buried in the accessibility settings.
