Windows 11 24H2: Check if new version is installed on PC (2 methods)
UPDATED 6/18/2024: If you're on Windows 11 and want to check if version 24H2 is already installed on your computer, the system offers at least two ways to do so, and in this guide I'll show you how. Although the operating system should display a welcome message after an upgrade informing you of the new changes, it rarely does so and doesn't tell you the version number. You'll only get a brief overview of the new changes.
In 2024, the feature update will be released as version 24H2 (also known as the "Windows 11 2024 Update"), which is the year (24) and the part of the year (H2, or half a year) that indicates when the company plans to launch it.
If you want to confirm that Windows 11 24H2 is installed on your device, you can use the winver command and the About settings page.
