Windows 11: Enable NEW Windows Recall AI
In Windows 11, you can quickly check if your computer has a NPU (Neural Processing Unit). In this guide, I will explain the steps to complete this process.
As we move into the world of AI, you will often hear the term “NPU”, a chip designed to speed up the processing of AI tasks that are usually performed in the CPU. Currently, we are in the early stages of adoption so computers do not need an NPU, but by 2024 and in the future, most devices (especially laptops) will contain the processors also known as AI processors.
If you have a relatively new computer, the chip may already be there, but you can always check the presence of an NPU on Windows 11 through Task Manager and Device Manager, and confirm it directly with the processor manufacturer.
