Create a Copilot desktop shortcut in Windows 11
On Windows 11, you can create a desktop shortcut to access the new Copilot experience more quickly. This guide will show you how to do it. Although you can launch the chatbot using the dedicated button in the taskbar or using the Windows Key + C keyboard shortcut, it is also possible to access Copilot from the desktop using a shortcut.
This option can be useful if you want to remove the system tray icon but still have quick access to the feature, or if you are located in one of the European Union (EU) regions and still cannot access the feature because it is not fully compliant with the Digital Markets Act (DMA).
Whatever the reason, you can create a quick access from the desktop in Windows 11 starting with version 23H2 using the Shortcuts wizard.
