Windows 10 Tutorial: Enable Reserved Storage in Version 1903
In Windows 10, Reserved Storage is a feature designed to reserve part of your device's available storage for updates and avoid problems due to lack of storage space.
Reserved storage typically reserves about 7 GB of space for updates, temporary files, system cache, and apps. When a new update is available, Windows 10 automatically deletes the files in Reserved storage so that updates can be installed successfully.
The new feature is enabled by default on devices that come with the May 2019 Update preinstalled or after a clean install of the operating system. If this feature isn't right for you because you have limited storage on your device or you don't like it, you can disable it with a workaround by modifying the registry.
