How to disable the timeline in Windows 10

Timeline on Windows 10 is a feature that leverages Microsoft Graph and allows you to go back to activities (e.g. apps, documents, websites) that you have worked on in the past. These activities may have been started on the same computer or other devices such as a laptop, tablet, and even your phone that are connected to the same Microsoft account.

The only limitation is that Windows 10 needs to track your PC activity so you can continue tasks across devices. For many users, this isn't a big deal, but for others, it may pose a privacy or security risk.

If Timeline isn't for you, or you simply don't want Windows 10 tracking your activity, you can disable the feature in just a few clicks from the Settings app.
