Windows 11 Build 26058: NEW pointer indicator, widget redesign, File Explorer menu labels, more
In Windows 11 24H2 (and later versions), the system features Windows Protected Print Mode (WPP), a new universal modern print stack (driver) that allows you to connect a printer to Windows 11 without the need for third-party software.
The idea of this new print mode or universal driver is to increase security and make printers plug and play without additional software. The only caveat is that this new technology only works with Mopria printers. Additionally, when this feature is enabled, the system will remove any printers that are incompatible with this feature. You can find more details about the benefits of this new print mode here.
In this guide, I will explain the steps to enable or disable WPP feature on Windows 11 24H2 (2024 Update) or higher versions.
