In Windows 11, you can enable an option to show labels and ungroup apps on the taskbar. In this guide, I'll explain how to do this configuration. Although the ability to show labels without grouping apps was available in a previous version of the operating system, Microsoft introduced a new taskbar design that didn't include many of the older features, including the ability to never combine buttons or show labels. However, starting with the release of version 23H2 and later, the option to never combine app icons and labels with the taskbar is available again.
You can enable the feature through the Settings app or change the settings through registration.
