Fix Unidentified Network, No Internet, Windows 10
I recently bought a new router for the office, but after a while my Windows 8.1 laptop started losing internet connection when waking from sleep or hibernation. The first thing I noticed was that the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar had a yellow exclamation mark showing the message "Unidentified network" (no internet access).
A quick workaround that always worked was to open Network Connections in Control Panel, right-click on the wireless adapter in question and select Disable and Re-Enable. However, when one has to perform this procedure almost every day, it becomes an unnecessary tedious task. Fortunately, there is a permanent solution to the “Unidentified Network” or the common “Limited Access” problem in Windows 8.x. Just follow the steps below.
Open Run using Windows Key + R, type ncpa.cpl and press Enter to open the Network Connections page in Windows.
