Although the Technical Preview installation completed successfully, my PC has a high-resolution display (Retina) and there appears to be an issue with the virtualization software and Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, as I noticed that when I use scaling, the Modern Experience and Desktop Taskbar automatically adjust to display properly on high-resolution displays, but the Start menu, apps, text, and other on-screen items do not scale properly.

While there is no permanent solution, there is a workaround that you can use to get everything working smoothly again. This requires you to modify a Windows registry key.
