Windows 10 20H2, October 2020 Update: How to uninstall and roll back to 1909 or an earlier version
Windows 10 is out and millions of users are upgrading every day as Microsoft offers the new operating system as a free upgrade for Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers. While Microsoft hopes you'll stick with the new operating system, it also offers the option to go back to your previous version of Windows in case you don't like the upgrade or you're having problems.
There is a caveat, however: Microsoft recently updated its Windows 10 FAQ page to ask, "Can I go back to my previous version of Windows if I don't like Windows 10?" The company notes that you can roll back, but you only have 30 days from the day you upgrade to do so.
"Yes, while we're confident you'll love all the features of Windows 10, you'll have one month after upgrading to go back to the previous version of Windows on your device."
