How to hide drives in Windows 10, hide/show hard drive partitions
Sometimes people only have one computer and need to share it with family members or friends. Often the people you share the computer with are not tech savvy and you may not want them saving or deleting files on the Windows "C" drive or any other hard drive that may contain data you don't want to share with everyone.
In this case, you can use the Local Computer Policy in Windows to enable a setting that removes the icons for selected hard drives from My Computer and from Windows Explorer. It also prevents the drive letters of the selected hard drives from appearing in the standard Open dialog box. And the process is not that complicated.
1. Use the keyboard shortcut + R to invoke the Run command, type mmc and click OK to open the Windows console.
