We have been collecting images for a long time, and let's be honest: how many of those images have we given a proper name? Ever since the operating system started offering thumbnails, we no longer care about the file name. So if the images are not relevant, why have them at all?

HOW TO HIDE FILE NAMES IN WINDOWS EXPLORER
Apparently Microsoft has known about this for some time and has built in an option to hide filenames of image files in folders. However, unless the folder is already configured as optimized for images, the option will not appear.
Open any folder. These can contain all kinds of documents and files.
Right-click and select Customize this folder.
