The first thing you'll immediately notice when you look at Windows 8 as a touch-oriented operating system is the new lock screen. It doesn't display user accounts, and there's no unlock button either. Instead, you'll be shown a nice wallpaper and useful information like the time, date, and a number of status notifications.
