How to uninstall Windows 10 and go back to Windows 8.1
If you're using Windows 8 or Windows 7, you'll probably see a "Upgrade to Windows 10 Technical Preview" message in Windows Update, and you'll also see a constant toast notification telling you that Windows 10 is ready to install.
This is because you have enrolled your computer to install the Windows 10 preview using the preparation tool released by Microsoft for Windows Insiders.
When you install the tool, it configures Windows 7 or Windows 8 to receive Windows 10 through the Windows Update service. However, you may have realized that it is not very advisable to install a large piece of software on your main computer when it is not yet ready to use, and there are many safer ways to test the operating system.
