Windows 10: Reset Ethernet network adapter (wired) (still works in 2024)
The Internet Connection Sharing feature has been around for a long time in Windows 10. As the name suggests, it allows you to share an Internet connection with other devices via an Ethernet port.
Although you typically connect devices to a network switch to access the Internet, sometimes you don't have enough ports or a long enough cable to make the connection. The Internet Connection Sharing feature in Windows 10 lets you extend the Internet to other devices.
This is similar to the Portable Hotspot feature, but the difference is that when you use the Internet Connection Sharing feature, you share through an Ethernet or Wi-Fi adapter, while when you use the Portable Hotspot feature, you share through a Wi-Fi adapter.
