How to show the weather on the Windows 11 lock screen
UPDATED 6/4/2024: Windows 11 lets you add the weather information to the lock screen. This guide will show you how. The lock screen is the first thing you see before accessing the login screen and then the desktop. By default, the experience shows a wallpaper (which you can change or rotate at any time using the Spotlight feature) and the date and time information. However, you can also see the weather by configuring the "Lock screen state" from the Settings app, so you don't have to reach for your phone or look up this information on the web as often.
It's important to note that the lock screen now defaults to a new widget-like interface to display detailed weather and other information, such as sports, finance, and traffic, and that these widgets are all tied to the same setting.
In this guide, I will show you how to display weather information on the Windows 11 lock screen.
