How to stop Google from tracking your location
When browsing the web in Chrome, some websites (such as e-commerce, travel, restaurant, and search engine sites) may want to track your current (approximate) location to show you relevant nearby products and information, such as deals available only in your location, the availability of a product, and more.
While there can be benefits to telling a website your location, it can also be a privacy issue for many people, and even though you'll get a consent prompt, it's easy to make a mistake. However, if you've previously allowed a website to know your location, you can easily change the settings in Google Chrome to block the site.
This guide shows you how to manage Chrome settings to deny location tracking to a previously allowed website. (If you're using Microsoft Edge, follow these instructions.)
