Windows 8.1 is too fast?
Thanks to extensive research and the development of sophisticated software, installing Windows 8 will be smoother, faster, and easier than installing Windows 7, with approximately 82% fewer clicks and a significant reduction in installation time.
One of the biggest changes will be the upgrade experience for users, plus Microsoft plans to focus on web deployment methods. While physical media will still be available for some time, the software maker is making many changes to make Windows 8 a more suitable option for installation via a web page. This way, the end user won't even have to enter the 25-digit product key, as Microsoft will now pre-code the setup image for each individual user. In addition, Upgrade Advisor, Setup, and Windows Easy Transfer have been combined into a single experience for Windows 8 to simplify things and save time.
In a new blog post on "Building Windows 8," the software giant reveals how small changes can make big improvements. The upgrade process scans the user's computer and identifies potential problems (such as system requirements, application and hardware compatibility). If Windows 8 Setup detects a problem, it tells the user, along with instructions on how to fix the problem and whether or not to spend money on Windows 8.
