If you've noticed that Metro apps in Windows 8 don't have many settings or places to look for problems, this can make troubleshooting a bit difficult. Since most Metro apps are small, you can simply reinstall the one that's causing problems to see if that fixes the problem. Good thought, but that may not work. So what can you do? For the Mail app syncing problem, you can try the following:
1. Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager.
2. Click More details at the bottom of the window.
