Windows 11 (NEW feature): Access Android phone files wirelessly via File Explorer
You can now find mobile and desktop apps in the Windows Store. The idea of Windows 10 has always been to have one operating system that runs on all devices, including desktop PCs, tablets, and phones, with a unified experience.
One of the steps to achieving a consistent experience across all devices is the so-called universal apps. We've seen a lot of them, but there are plenty that still need to be updated to work on a phone and a desktop. However, we have to be realistic and consider that Windows 10 has only been out for a few months and Windows 10 Mobile will only be introduced with the availability of the Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL and Lumia 550.
In July, the software giant successfully merged its desktop and mobile online web stores, and today it seems that the desktop Windows Store is finally merging with the Windows Phone Store, too.
