Microsoft brings OpenAI chatbot technology to Office apps
Microsoft is reportedly working on integrating OpenAI's artificial language intelligence into its Office products, including Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, as well as ChatGPT into Bing.
According to a report from The Information (via The Verge), the company is already testing an unreleased version of OpenAI's text-generating GPT model in the desktop version of Word for its autocomplete feature, and is now integrating the technology even further into Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
In Outlook, for example, Microsoft uses the technology to improve search results without using a specific keyword. The company also says that OpenAI GPT technology can help suggest email replies or recommend changes to Word documents.
