Windows 11: Free upgrade from Windows 8.1 (Official)
In a new article at Blogging Windows, the company confirms that the software giant is shipping Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1 to OEMs, 10 months after releasing a groundbreaking operating system on August 27.
The new update is the first of many under the new model of annual releases that brings bug fixes and new features, something the company has never done before. In this new version of the operating system, users will notice significant changes such as the Start button, a streamlined Start screen with new tile sizes, the ability to uninstall multiple apps with one click, the option to boot to the desktop, new updated Windows 8 apps, and more.
