NEW! Disable annoying ads on Windows 11 (2024) – Complete guide
The internet has been trying to get rid of Adobe Flash for years, but since it's still around, Microsoft is now taking new steps to automatically pause "obtrusive" content on websites using a new feature in the Edge web browser that's coming with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
The goal of this feature is to pause peripheral content, such as advertisements and animations created with Adobe Flash, until the end user explicitly clicks on them.
According to Microsoft, the new approach will help significantly reduce the power consumption of laptops, tablets and other mobile devices.
