This is a bad idea. Microsoft will replace Edge's PDF reader feature with Adobe Reader. Another reason not to use Microsoft Edge?

Fixed: PDF files open in Edge instead of Adobe Acrobat Reader

Microsoft will replace Edge's default PDF reader features with those of Adobe Acrobat. According to the company's announcement, the upcoming update to Microsoft Edge will include Adobe PDF reader, which will offer advanced features (if you're willing to pay a subscription).

The software giant says the decision to remove the legacy PDF feature from Microsoft Edge in favor of Adobe's will provide a better experience with better performance, more accurate colors and graphics, and stronger security when working with PDF documents.

The new integration offers the same features as the previous tool, but at no additional cost. However, you will notice "a subtle Adobe branding" and be offered to buy the premium version of Adobe PDF Reader to unlock features such as file editing, conversion, and the ability to merge files. (Again, this is not a one-time purchase. You will need to purchase an Adobe Acrobat subscription.)
