Microsoft explains two new features for Windows 8: Refresh and Reset your PC. These are already part of the Windows 8 Developer Preview, but some additional optimizations are coming with the Windows 8 Beta.

Like most mobile devices on the market today, Windows 8 will have a "one-click" reset button – OK, maybe a few, but it will still be a pretty simple process – that will let you either return your PC to its original state or refresh it, with the reset feature included but data, "important" settings and apps preserved.
Key goals of these new features:
Windows 8 allows you to "reset" your PC, which is basically the most convenient way to start over or recycle your PC or give it away to someone else. This feature will remove all your personal data, apps, and settings from the PC and reinstall Windows.
