How to update and install Surface drivers and firmware | Microsoft
Microsoft is currently rolling out new firmware updates for its Surface Book, Surface Pro 4, and even its Surface Pro 3. While the April 2016 update for Surface Pro 3 is just a minor release, Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 receive significant improvements, performance gains, and better stability.
For both the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book, Microsoft is fixing various flickering issues when using Microsoft Edge and other applications with an update to UEFI and HD Graphics 520. There is also a solution to the auto-rotation issue after resuming from sleep and detaching the keyboard.
Additionally, a new driver set for the Surface Camera significantly improves the stability of Windows Hello and the front and rear cameras. Users will also see a more specific Windows Hello driver update (v1.0.45.0) that further improves the stability of Windows Hello.
