Enhance your field workforce experience anytime, anywhere with Microsoft HoloLens 2 and mixed reality apps
Microsoft's HoloLens 2 is now a reality and can be pre-ordered. After several years of development, the software giant presented the second generation of (arguably) the most advanced augmented reality (AR) headset in the world at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.
HoloLens 2 still retains some design features from the original version, but the new version is smaller, lighter, and has some significant design changes. For example, the headset is made of carbon fiber and the computer parts are located at the back to make it more comfortable to wear since the center of gravity is now in the middle of the head. Instead of the fastening mechanism of the first headset, on HoloLens 2 you'll find more padding at the front and back, as well as an adjustable band to secure the device on your head.
It has speakers on the side and you can lift the visor like a welding mask to immerse yourself in the real world without having to remove the headset. Plus, the design is more comfortable to use if you wear glasses.
