Windows 11: Free upgrade from Windows 8.1 (Official)
According to WindowsObserver.com, there are a total of five updates that fix strange behavior that prevents users from logging into Google Picasa, Internet Explorer 11 downloads fail to resume, and Windows 8 apps crash every time they try to launch. There is also an update that improves the robustness of data files and another that fixes compatibility issues in Windows 8.1 Preview and in Windows RT 8.1 Preview.
Remember that you don't have to download the updates immediately when you run the preview. They will be downloaded automatically and the operating system will apply them on the next reboot.
If you remember, when Microsoft released the preview to the public, the company advised users with language packs installed on their PCs not to install the Windows 8.1 preview due to an unknown issue. Today, this bug seems to have been fixed and the software giant is allowing users with language packs installed to upgrade to the preview update. (This news was confirmed by Neowin.net.)
