According to a new report from Neowin, Microsoft plans to release two new major updates for Windows in 2016. The first wave of updates will be released in June and the second in October of the same year.

The focus of the updates is on improving support for new hardware, mainly smartphones, Surface Hub, Xbox, HoloLens, Microsoft Band and various other products running Microsoft's operating system.

The interesting thing is that Microsoft seems to be avoiding the Halo reference in its projects, as the code name "Redstone" refers to an element from the game Minecraft, which the company bought a few months ago.
