A new month, a new Patch Tuesday: In June, Microsoft is releasing a total of seven updates for various products, including Windows, Office, Internet Explorer, and the server operating system. Five of the total available updates are marked as important, the remaining two as critical.

The first update fixes problems with all versions of Internet Explorer, even IE 11 for Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1.
The second update addresses the Remote Code Execution issue in Windows, Office, and Lync. The third update, marked as important, also addresses Remote Code Execution in Office. The fourth and fifth updates address Information Disclosure in Windows and Microsoft Lync Server. Update number six addresses the Denial of Service issue in Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, RT, and RT 8.1. And finally, the last update for this June 2014 Patch Tuesday addresses tampering issues in Windows.
For security reasons, Microsoft never discloses all the details of its updates before release to prevent others from exploiting the information and continuing to spread malicious code.
