On September 2, Microsoft released the second incremental update for Windows 8.1. On August 12, the software giant made a new update available for Windows as scheduled, but just a few days later, the company was forced to remove the download links from its website and from Windows Update because users reported that the update was causing BSODs on a small number of PCs (according to the company, only 0.01% of users were affected).

Windows 11, 10: Fix CrowdStrike Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) after faulty driver update
Today is a new day and the software manufacturer announces that the bugs have been fixed and the update is available for download (the update is registered as KB2975719).
Microsoft officials issued the following statement:
UPDATE September 2: When we learned on August 15 that a small number of customers were experiencing issues with the August 2014 Update Rollup for Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 (KB2975719), we immediately investigated the issue and pulled the problematic update so that it could no longer be downloaded. Today, we are re-releasing this update with fixes for these known issues.
